Board of Directors

The College Mentors for Kids, Inc., board of directors share leadership and expertise to further the organization's strategic priorities. Board members operate under board approved annual expectations, participate in policy making, contribute financially to the organization, attend board meetings every other month, committee meetings on alternating months, and participate in strategic planning, board governance, staff support, events, and fundraising.

The board of directors play an integral role in the strategic planning process, individual donor development and connecting the organization to new individual and corporate investors. Each regularly visit College Mentors for Kids activities. Board members meet 2 times annually with the chief executive officer and vice president of development to complete and review their individualized action plan with specific measurable outcomes related to advocacy, resource development, and skills specific to their profession (human resources, legal advice, accounting, youth development and executive coaching).
