College Mentors for Kids, Inc., offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for college students, professionals and community leaders. We are committed to identifying a volunteer opportunity that matches your unique gifts with our organization's need, providing you a rewarding and meaningful volunteer experience.

Become a college student mentor

Participate in Career Mentors

  • One time, two hour commitment to visit an activity at your local College Mentors for Kids chapter
  • Share your profession and required training with the children
  • Expand the awareness of local industry and the range of career options for both our children and college student mentors

Devote your skills as a project volunteer

  • Special projects are based on organizational needs and your interests and skills. We will work with you to build an opportunity that fits your talents and schedule.
  • Project opportunities may be offered on a one-time or ongoing basis and vary in time commitment and duration.
  • Examples include: public relations writing, graphic design, IT troubleshooting, office space design, and clerical projects.

Join a committee

  • Committees support headquarters staff in implementing the Board's goals and directives, as well as assist with special projects. Committees typically meet bi-monthly, depending on events and needs throughout the year.
  • Committee opportunities include:
    • Alumni Association Steering Committee
    • Annual Benefit Committee
    • Finance Committee
    • Investor Relations Committee
    • Mentor Program Committee
    • Service Continuum Committee
