Verizon Grant Helps Support College Mentors for Kids Middle School Program
Verizon has a strong commitment to supporting educational and youth mentoring programs to benefit students and their communities. Verizon also realizes the importance of incorporating technology into every learning environment. Thinkfinfity.org, an innovative online program developed by Verizon provides educational content and development training to the public.
Through this online program and a $15,000 grant, Verizon will help College Mentors for Kids expand their mentoring program to serve a larger number of children. Representatives from Verizon, Matthew Kelly and Caryl Auslander, presented the grant to College Mentors for Kids at Emma Donnan Middle School, one of College Mentors’ partner schools.
“On behalf of Verizon, its employees, customers and shareholders, we are proud to partner with College Mentors for Kids to reach even more school children and show the value of a college education,” said Matthew Kelly, State Director – Public Affairs, Policy and Communications.
